Zaiko.

Zaiko is, first and foremost, a research project, the result of which produced two items: a backpack and a case.

It all began by observing an evolving professional figure: the contemporary chef. No longer based in one place, no longer tied to a single kitchen, but constantly on the move between consulting work, pop-ups, events and collaborations. A figure with a precise need: not so much a spacious backpack, but a genuine work tool and companion — portable, reliable and efficient.

Today’s chefs travel with knives, personal tools, technical and identity-defining objects. What was needed was a system that guaranteed order, protection and versatility, without giving up comfort and presence.

We designed Zaiko starting from the inside, with a multi-structure conceived to organise professional tools in a safe, modular way, maintaining stability and hygiene during transport. The openings and internal hierarchies are engineered in detail to accompany the gesture, not hinder it. Every element is calibrated on real use, not on aesthetics.

The outer form translates this structure into an essential, contemporary, versatile object, capable of moving between kitchen, city and travel without changing identity. Zaiko is the concrete answer to a new kind of professional mobility.
